Default Rim cleaner.

I have turtle wax t21 wheel cleaner and after reading online about how It leaves white lines In the rims I decided not to use It. Im looking for a product for rims for my 1984 ford f150 It has alot of dirt and probably alot of brake dust also on the rims I cant get It off with soap and water I dont think. Im trying to find a product that will work on all wheel types because Im not sure If my rims are aluminum or chrome and dont know the difference but I want a product that wont leave stains from acid etc or harm the rims In anyway because Its about nine hundred dollars worth rims. Make sure this product wont stain or leave residue or change the brake dust to a goo. Advice would be nice.

Talk to a detail shop and see if you can get this stuff called red hot. I know unichem sells it and so does malco(called red thunder). It is a concentrated cleaner that works wonders. If you mix it 50/50 with water in a weed sprayer, or in a spray bottle.

Give your tires and wheels a good spray down, you will watch all kinds of grime come off the rubber on your tires, stuff you didnt even know was there. Let it sit for about 5 minutes, then pressure wash it off. Get all the rubber with the direct stream from the pressure washer.

This stuff works great. If you just waxed your truck, dont get it on the paint, otherwise you will have to wax it again. lol, learned that one the hard way on a mustang.

Hope it works well.

If you get some tire and wheel cleaner through an automotive shop, elbow grease works well, lots of water, lots of rags, lots of cleaner...

either way works good.

.

I went a few years without cleaning the brake dust off the chrome.

I used Never Dull to take the crud off.
It takes time and a bit of elbow grease but the stuff comes off and the wheels look like new.

Check out autogeek.net. They have everything and anything for ur truck. DP, pinnacle, Wolfgang, and ultimate r a couple of good brands that offer a wheel cleaner safe for all wheels. They also have wheel glaze that's basically a wax for ur rims, this way all u have to do is dust em off cause brake won't stick anymore. Hope this helps!
