Default cover

Thanks for the input guys, I will try to do the u-joint front and back, the rubber seal on the back one is cracked right in half. Is there a danger of the driveshaft falling off? How soon should I fix this or can I let it go for a bit (week or 2) without damaging anything else.

Also, the diff cover has a hole in in right about in the middle, looks like a jagged rock might of hit is because it is a dent with a hole about 1/8th in diameter in it. Any ideas on how to make a permanent repair to this hole, I ground it down to steel and applied that metal 2 part putty, but it is still leaking.

You could have someone weld it or get another cover from a junk yard. Either option after you get the plug out of course.

A simple quick temporary fix is a sheet metal screw with a rubber washer.
