Default "Premium Gold" antifreeze??

I have on '04 F150 with a 4.6L V8 and was just browsing throught the owners manual and noticed that the antifreeze should be this yellow colored "premium gold" antifreeze. This is probably gonna sound dumb... but this is the newest truck that I have owned, its my first significant truck purchase, and I've only had it for a couple of weeks.

Anyway... is this "premium gold" stuff actually better than the traditional green ethylene glycol? Is it interchangeable with the green stuff or the orange stuff?

Gimme the lowdown on it cuz ive never had to use anything but the green stuff! Thanks.

I've "heard" that when you match different colors of antifreeze that it shouldnt really be done, since they make all colors just stick with the gold and you'll be fine. Its not like youre looking at the anti-freeze every time you get out of the truck so just go gold.

It's supposed to have a longer life than the green. I will still change mine sooner than the recommended 100k service. Just cause it's not that expensive to change anyways and it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside
LovetheTide is right about not mixing antifreezes, That's very bad and it will cause internal problems.

G-05 coolant can be used and meets the specs of premium gold as well without spending $$ for Ford coolant.
