06 - 5.4L Plug Job???
Hey Guys,
Has anyone changed a set of plugs on a 06 - 5.4 flex fuel yet? If so, can i just simply change the plugs? Do this engine have the coil over wires?? will they need replacing too?
On a scale of 1-10 how hard of a job is it to do myself?? 1 being easy & 10 being very hard.
My truck feels kinda sticky like. it also seems like the tranny is lazy or something... its been flushed and so on, but something still seems not right with the drive train. I don't expect to peel the tires because of the rear end ratio... i think. limitied slip too i think... 3.73???
Any advise... 53000 miles!!!

Hi Rook, haven't done the job myself yet to know for sure. Would guess closer to a 10. The antiseize thing, ask for more input on that. Just can't see putting a substance on threads that is subjected to the high temps of a combustion chamber. Scarry!

Yea that`s what they say they are doing to the long metal shield when they replace them. I`ve been looking on the web for a week now. Some guy someone just said that some time in 2006 they started putting antiseize on the shield at the factory. I was wondering if he was only wishing since I haven`t seen anyone who has changed a 2006 5.4 yet. Anyway I`m sure folks are getting pretty good at the plug thing by now.
