Default power steering hose

The hose from the cooler to the pump is shot, it clamps onto the cooler but I can't see how it goes on the pump, no fittings, just a plate, looks like one bolt. Any trick or secret to this?

Not knowing what truck or motor or year we're talking about, I can only guess the line is from the cooler to the pump and it's the return line. When you remove the bolt the hose will wiggle out with a stub pipe that has 1 or 2 "O" rings to seal it. This is a factory part only on most Fords.

Sorry about that, it's a 2005 F150, 4.6. When I removed the bolt nothing came loose from the pump, there is also two more lines on it and one is a threaded fitting, does that have to be removed also. My expertise is in classic Fords, this new stuff baffles me.

Try looking at this image. There are hoses that rout from the pump to the resvoir and from the steering gear to the cooler and back. This should help you see the end of the fitting. If the link doesn't connect just Google : 2006 F150 4.6L power steering pump.
