Cranckshaft

I just removed the pan on the transmission for a filter change and this was laying in the pan. Wether I knocked it loose or no I don't know. Does anyone know what it is and where it goes?

Its fine and normal. Its the little plug that plugs the dipstick hole durring manufacturing and they just push it down to the pan when they insert the dipstick. All that means is that your tranny fluid has never been changed
