I'm in Florida and just got the call from my brother heading for his daughters
place in Ohio for Christmas. Seems he experienced a catastrophic transmission failure on the West Virginia Turnpike and thinks he will probably get towed to Charleston.

Here,s what I know. No issues till he noticed large cloud of white smoke following him.... Pulled off then backed up some to see the tell-tale trail
of pink fluid on the ground. Seems to be coming from converter/bellhousing
area. Sucks to break on Sunday,far from home. I'm not thinking quick fix,thought pump failure BUT it still moves under power. Still sounds like a
major deal. Anybody have a line on a decent shop in the Charleston WV area?

Popped the inspection plug in the bottom of the bellhousing and got nearly a
quart of trans fluid... Left it at a garage and got a rental Chevy to get the rest of the way home...Lol

Could be a busted trans line to the cooler.
