OBD Code P0453
Morning Y'all,
I have a self induced problem I hope I can get some help with. I installed an aftermarket trailer brake controller to my 08 STX and being sure I knew what I was doing I hooked the red wire from the controller to the light green with a red stripe wire on the brake light switch instead of the solid light green wire, now I have a check engine light and a P0453 code. I have changed the Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor and reset the codes, but after letting the PCM relearn and after a restart same code comes back.
Does anyone have any ideas about where to go from here or some way to get myself out of this self induced mess? Any help or information would be greatly appropriated.
thanks
Don

Undo any wiring you have done and clear codes, see if the issue returns, if it does take it to the dealer to test the wiring, you may have shorted that circuit inside the power train control module.
