Default 2005 time to change plugs???

Looking for some opinions here. My 05 5.4L is coming up on 70k miles, is that too early to have the plugs changed? I have read the horror stories about the breakage with waiting until 100k miles, so I am leaning heavily towards changing them in the next month or so just to be proactive. Your thoughts?

where i work we suggest that customers have them changed between 60k-70k, even though the owners manual says 100k. my opinion, get them done early so there is less of a chance of them breaking.

That's what I'm going to do. I don't want to fool with or pay for broken plugs.
