Default No Oil Getting To Heads

I have a 2000 ford F150 and noticed a tapping from the right cylinder head. I pulled the right valve cover and noticed no oil getting to the top end...Is there any way to check to see if it is the oil pump since it mounted externally versus pulling the oil pan to check the pickup in the tank. The timing chain is slinging oil but no oil coming up through the rocker arms

I guess progress strikes again. Am used to the old school engines, pop out distributor and drive the pump with a LH drill motor. Primed many a engine that way. Sorry for not being any help.

Remove the oil pressure sender, and install a manual guage in the spot where the sensor was. Then start it up and watch the oil pressure guage and see what it is reading.
