I agree with you , by using pennzoil it keeps the engine cleaner than any leading synthetic oil.

Don't be afraid to ask questions!!! You won't always receive ignorant answers from the internet Police.

Regarding your question, I would bet more do than don't replace the oil before the Oil Monitor says to, especially on the first oil change. Do some reading on some of the other threads regarding the oil and do what feels like the best thing for you. A lot of us actually enjoy discussion even on questions that have been asked regardless of how many times.
