new rotors and brake pads, bad rattling noise
ill try to keep this short.
installed new front rotors and ceramic pads last night on my 2007 f150 xlt. after installation was over, took the truck around the block a few times to make sure everything was ok, it wasnt.
both front wheels are making a terrible grinding/rattling noise while driving. it doesnt happen when braking and it doesnt happen when coasting. this noise only happens when i accelerate. i was thinking it was the metal shims the brake pads slide into rubbing againt the rotors? and this noise doesnt happen all the time, makes a loud clunk (like it shifts into place) then no noise and smooth sailing for a couple of blocks.
anything will helps guys? and much appreciated

Check to be sure that the hardware is installed correctly. These brakes utilize a slide bar set up on the caliper body that allows it to move when braking. They are supposed to be lubricated when reinstalling them so they slide with the movement of the rotor and the pads.
