Default New brake calipers

I am looking for a new brake caliper for my 2006 King Ranch. Is it right that I can only find remanufactered calipers?

I don't know on which websites to look, but the first couple of google hits are all remanufactered ones. I was wondering if they are any good and if it's okay to buy them instead of new ones. But if the price for a remanufactuered one is $260 (here in Europe) I don't want to know how much a new one costs

Can someone provide me some good webshops to buy this from which also provides shipping to Europe? A lot of shops only want to ship to an adress in the USA

Also, I don't like to send the old one to the USA from Europe, very expensive

Just get a rebuild kit - a "remanufactured" caliper is nothing more than one with a new oring and a rubber "dust cover" @/10x the cost.

Okay...is it a good idea to rebuild if the old one is stuck and I drove about 50km with it?

And where to find new ones?

Go on-line and try NAPA, Rock Auto.com, Parts Train.com OR even the dealer. I can still buy new calipers for my 1970 F-250.

Fortunately they ship to the Netherlands

But....is it just me or do they only offer reman ones? Why is everything remanufactured??

I want new parts...if I buy remanufactured ones it is just as easy to buy a rebuild kit and remanufacure my old ones

I just want to do what is best. Here in the Netherlands you can buy new calipers everywhere (OEM or clones), not only at the dealerships, but in the USA it seems that remanufactured is the standard?

The goal is to have the truck back on the road again, with good brakes, safety first.

If you guys recommend reman calipers, I buy them, if you say don't do that, just go for new ones from Motorcraft, I will do that. But in that case I need a dealership who wants to send to the Netherlands

Yes... I see a business opportunity

But thanks for the advice and the websites for the parts... even without sending the old calipers back to RockAuto and extra shipping to the Netherlands it's way more cheaper to buy them in the USA
