New member here, long time owner of a 2001 Ford F-150 super cab with 220,000 miles. I dropped my truck off this morning at a Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep dealership to get the usual oil change (I know, I know, I take it there because my Fiance's parents own the place, trying to support it) and earlier this morning I noticed my parking brake light wouldn't go off. This has happened before and usually its just low on fluid.. Well I just got a call and was informed that the brake fluid reservoir was leaking pretty bad and it had already been replaced a few years prior under the recall. I was told Its not safe to drive, being a big fire hazard. Now my question is, the service manager at the Dodge dealership said he didn't believe it was under warranty / recall again. Have you guys heard of this happening? I can't even find any info on the internet about this recall as it is.. I'm wondering if I should get it to a Ford dealer or what.. I just get a decent discount at this place and I'm a fairly broke college student and have been milking this truck hoping she'll last me one more year!
Any input is greatly appreciated!!
Thanks in advance!!
