Default Need Advice

I have a 1992 f150, it reverses just fine with ease but to go forward it seems to struggle. It almost feels like something is binding or barely letting it move. You notice this significantly in the snow, it will automatically lose traction in the rear end. Any ideas what may cause this?
Thanks
