Default Name that Part...

Alright, I have no idea what this part is but its part of the engine coolant system for a 2000 model F-150 V6 4.2L. It recently got a pinhole leak and started dumping the coolant like a slit artery.

So, what exactly is it? And does it have a name? Any info would be appreciated. I'm going to have to go to a salvage yard to get the piece

And this is where is came from...

A couple of other write ups about it, Its a wye pipe for the heater system. Have seen prices from $80.00 to $120.00. My opinion is simple, as my 2002 4.2L is as sound as original, why go buy some other rusted out used piece of junk local to your area. Thank you for the Mojave Desert.

Just took another look at the part, you actually took a picture of it on your front seat? I'd be dead meat!

Yup, I did, the outside of it is completely clean, save for the rust, lol. I wouldn't have set it there had it been dirty and be able to stain the seat.

Thanks for the info.
