Default movement in rear axle

I have movement in my axle when i move it up and down and i dont mean in and out is that normal for a 04 f-150 4wd . I took it apart to replace the bearings. i brought new bearing at ford and when i put them in i still had the same play. i check the axle and its not worn its right to the specs.

Default Right Part?

There will be a small amount of lateral slack between the axle and wheel bearing; how much I'm not sure.

I presume you did a fit-check to see if the replacement bearing was the correct size.

I've searched two manuals for the clearance spec, but none is listed. My opinion is that any discernable slack between the axle and wheel bearing is too much. Call Ford service for a take on it.
