Default More 4x4 Trouble... (again)

Well, my dad got to the 4x4 issue before me, and decided to bring it to the dealership. Now, I can actually engage into 4H. However, then I shifted the transmission into Neutral, so I can get to Neutral, then 4LO with the 4x4. However, when I move the 4x4 shifter (?) into Neutral, it makes this HORRIBLE grinding noise, and then makes the speedometer go whack (0 - 90mph in like 2 seconds!). I have no idea what is wrong, and I am following the instructions. Tomorrow I am going to bring it back to the dealership. Does anyone know what the problem is?

There isn't enough information for me to have any idea what is wrong but the bottom line is your father is doing the correct thing it takes experience and special tools to repair the transfer case. The bottom line is this is going to be expensive
