Maintaining hydraulic clutch pressure
I am restoring a 2001 F-150. 2 wheel drive, 4.2 and 5 speed manual. I have installed new clutch, slave cylinder and clutch master cylinder. After bleeding the system everything works great. After a few hundred miles it gradually becomes more difficult to get into gear from a dead stop. After pumping the clutch several times to build some pressure I can then get it into gear but it is never easy. I can not figure out where the air is getting in. Am I missing something? Could I have installed a faulty part? Anyone have suggestions? Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi Critrlrabe -- wondering if you ever got an answer to your question. I just had my '94 F150 in for a new clutch master cylinder, and 200 miles later I'm having the same trouble -- can't get it into gear. Lack of proper bleeding, or leaking, or...? Please let me know what you found out. Thanks.
