Default Locating Exhaust Leak

I have a 1994 F150 with the venerable straight 6. Recently started making an exhaust noise and so far I have failed to locate it. The noise is both a low rumble that do's not change on acceleration. The other noise is a hisgher pitch and go's up and down with the speed of the engine, I can't quit describe it. Any ideas?

When I am searching for an exhaust leak, I crawl under the vehicle while it is idling in park and run my hands along the pipes. My hands are in close proximity to the hot pipes, so be carefull not to get burned. If there really is a leak you will be able to feel the exhaust pressure hitting your hands. As you get up closer to the manifold the space is more constrained so be carefull.

Go to your nearest auto parts store and get one of these. You can easily pin point any leak.
