Default Ladies and Gentlemen, my 2000 F150Triton

Was running well, I parked and it will Not start. I installed a new fuel pump and today I replaced the computer. Still will not start. Sprayed some starter fluid into the engine and it started.

Why do you think the problem is? I am at my Wits End.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

My truck is a 2000 Ford Triton F-150 with a 4.6 engine

You have probably checked these already but a few guesses anyway, make sure inertia switch isn't tripped, fuel pump relay, and fuel pump fuse, could be the fuel filter, but I doubt it. Can you here the fuel pump cycle on for about 2 seconds or so when you turn on the key? If not, no power is getting to the pump, or the pump is defective, which I doubt. Why did you replace the computer?

Your options sound good. I thought that the computer might be the problem errantly. I will try your suggestions. I am also wondering if the key may have an issue with the problem as it does have a crack in it

Thanks for the suggestions

I errantly thought the computer was the culprit. I am thinking that it may be something electricl related being the culprit. I am going to reinstall the factory computer and see if it can direct me to the problem.

I hope that it can

Talking

I have the problem solved! After replacing the fuel pump and the computer still nothing, I called the locksmith.

As it turned out the problem was the chip in the key!!!! Replaced that and it runs Great!

Kept the installed fuel pump returned the computer and now I have two new keys and 1 happy owner!

Same thing happened to me in my old 2001 screw. Truck wouldn't start, couldn't find any problems. Found my spare key and it started right up. Congradulations

Awesome, I wish I could've gotten that lucky... I'm still chasin' gremlins. Anyway - Congrats!
