I own a 2013 Ford F150 Lariat with the 5.0 V8. The truck is still pretty much brand new. I have a found a brand new K&N Cold air intake system for the truck on craigslist for $150. I was just wondering what the thoughts are on this. Will it help? In which ways will it help (gas mileage, power, etc.) I just want to know if it is worth it to put it on the truck. I have not bought the air intake yet.

just do the gotts mod, its a waste, i had an afe intake on my truck, swapped it just recently for the stock setup plus gotts mod, and i can feel no difference other than that it runs smoother. thats just my 2 cents, save your cash and spend it on somethin else for your truck

I have one for my 09 and it sounds nice. Gotts mod was a let down in my experience. Don't expect any extra gas mileage, however your low end throttle response will be different. I also run the new dry flow filters from K&N so I don't have to oil the filter ever.

Just my 2 cents worth. Save your money unless you're looking for a cool sound and some new problems.

I had the K&N setup on my 07 and didn't notice any gains, just the sound at acceleration.

I have a 2011 and I didn't notice much but the sound, which is cool.
For install it was cake.
