Default Intake Valve Walnut Blasting Service

I'm having a hard time locating a place that offers an intake valve walnut blasting service. I'm close to Charleston, SC. Called the BMW dealer just to see if they had such a thing, and they don't. Does anyone have any contacts that might be close to my location that offers the service? Thanks.

Why walnut blasting? All valves can be hot tanked, sand blasted and reground w/o damage if a reputable shop does the work. Walnut blasting is for magnesium, aluminum and other soft metals or in some cases for paint prep. Harbor Freight sells walnut chips if you have a blast cabinet and an air compressor. Good luck

Check local machine shops, they will have a variety of blasting media available.

He wants to blast the carbon and coke off the valves and intake ports on the heads without removing them. It seems some EcoBoost motors have a problem with coking due to a poorly designed PCV system. Since the heads are aluminum, walnut blasting would be the least destructive. The valves themselves are pretty much indestructible. Of course he could just wire brush the ports and valves for the same results.
