Default Ignition power

I have a 1995 f150. The ignition lock set went bad. So I replaced it now the power will not turn off even when the key is in the off position. I don't know how to fix it????? Help

You may have installed the key switch in the wrong position. Look at your instructions. I believe the switch itself must be in the run position when you install the new key cylinder.

I assume you mean turn the key cylinder off, not that the truck is actually still running. Pull the battery cables (both) then the steering wheel off and remove the key cylinder keeper pin the start over.

I have tried reinstalling the lockset a couple of times. But I will try it again and see if I can get a different result. I'm hoping that's Allthat is wrong. Thank you.

Be sure the wheels are straight on the vehicle when you try. There is a lock pin for the steering wheel. If the wheel is turned you won't be able to put the cylinder in correctly. Look on YouTube for a video on installing it, if you can find one. This can be a pain in the *****. Good luck

Default Power always on

When I hook up the battery after changing the lockset all of the power in the truck turns on. And the key just turns back and the truck stays running and all of the power stays on. I have to unplug the alternator to shut everything off.
