Taking the muffler out should take care of the louder part... Check local ordinances though. Some places give out tickets if it's too loud. You then might want to consider a different muffler. I did a Flowmaster 40. It was cheap and gave me the nice rumble I was looking for.
As for power, that one will take a big more work (and money). What engine do you have?

I took the muffler out and y-piped mine with dual exhaust. It doesn't sound too bad, although I did want it a bid louder. If you youtube f150's with flowmaster, it'll give you a couple ideason different things to do too.
