How Often to Change Transfer Case Fluid?
I don't see anything in my service schedule for changing the transfer case fluid in my 2011 F-150. How often should I be doing it? I'm at 60,000 miles right now, just did the spark plugs and thinking about doing the engine coolant and transfer case fluid right now as well.

Not much of a surprise there is no date or mileage when to change it. So many cars now want to say lifetime on their fluids other than oil, but I don't agree with that. On a Mitsubishi evo I did it at 10k miles, front and rear diffs, and transfer case. The magnets on all of them had enough fragments on them I was glad I did it. Here was the rear diff plug
And the transfer case drain not so bad
And new motorcycles I've had, have led me to make early oil/fluid changes. I realize none of this is Ford talk, but I think you see where I'm coming from.

I would say around 60-70k for the transmission, transfer case, and axle(s). that's my personal opinion. The owner's manual has the service life for the transmission and the axle(s).
