Hi all and 1st - SP509 vs Sp520
Hi all,
I just register but i have follow the forums for long time.
I got a Used F150 2010 4.6 3V 105,000 and I am about to change the spark plugs.
was going for the SP509 which the manual mention, but checking in ford parts website by my VIN they also list SP520 as compatible with my truck.
know both are platinum but the difference is in the gap.
sp509 - .041 gap
sp520 - .050 gap
I know larger gap makes the spark plug work hotter, so i imagine those are designed to stand the increased heat.
is there any benefit in using the SP520?
I live in Miami but i dont think this makes any difference.
