HELP! Mechanic says I need a new motor

I tested the fuel pump yesterday by disconnecting one hose from the fuel filter and letting the fuel already in the drain out and turned the key over and fuel shot out. So would it still do that even if the FPDM was out?

No it would not.. fuel is good

how do you know theres no compression on #3 ?

could be just a broken valve spring...wonder if he did the table spoon of oil test...
