Default Help with bad brakes please.. (long post)

o.. I have an 02 f150 with around 115,000 miles. I changed the rear pads in June and the front calipers rotors and pads the same time.. Jus this month I was having grinding noise and filled like it was dragging.. So I checked the rear and the pads had a Grove from the rotors. So I replaced the rotors and pads calipers seemed fine. Drive it around and still feels dragging and by the time we got to the parts store.. The right rear was smoking. So I placed the calipers.. Went to bleed the calipers got the rear Done so went to do the front.. The rt front pad was nothing and the caliper was piston rubber was burnt so I replaced caliper rotor and pads yesterday.. Now today the right front is smoking... Please help.. Thanks..

So you're saying the front right caliper has been replaced twice, and is still locking up? You probably need to replace the rubber hose. The inner layer can separate and act like a check valve by not allowing pressure to be released.

Yes brand new caliper on the same side that was no pad left back in June. So that would make total sense of why this problem is still happening on the right front. Thanks for your help. Will report back when I change the hose.

Sounds like either your brake lines are shot, keeping your calipers pressurized, or you keep ing up your calipers when you're replacing them by breaking the pistons. Barring that, your mounting brackets might be crooked / bent / warped.

Are you using a caliper piston compressor when you replace them?

Yeah I used a caliper press with an old pad to press in.

Then I wonder if you might have a bent mounting bracket but the fact that they're breaking in different places makes this just weird... definitely check the brake lines and master cylinder. If your tires are super hot when you park after a drive, you have a caliper hanging. And if it's a brand new (reputable) caliper, it's gotta be something else causing it.

Thanks everyone for the quick response and guidance to what to look at.. It was the brake hose that was bad inside. I did find a video that says there Is a certain way also the pads have to be installed that it kicks the calipers out of wack jus a bit that it could cause issues.
