Default Heater quits at idle, starts up after acceleration

1994 F150 pickup, 2wd. As the title says, the heater quits and blows cold air at an idle either in park or drive. Starts up again, sometimes quickly sometimes it takes higher rpms, after acceleration. Any ideas? Should it be doing this? How to fix? Thanks.

Low coolant level will cause this to happen.

Better check for leaks somewhere or you are burning it in the combustion chamber which is not good !
