Default Good/strong adhesive tape

So today my stick-on Ford keypad arrived for my new STX F150. I tried to take my time to place it just right but it slipped from my hand and made contact earlier than I wanted. Long story short is that it's crooked. I just left it for now, as I didn't have any more adhesive strips to use and didn't have an adhesive remover to get the old glue off. I was afraid if I just pulled it off I would damage the paint. Can anyone recommend a good type of adhesive tape to use to replace the keypad once I remove it? How is the 3M brand? Didn't know if there was anything stronger I should use or if that would serve he purpose? What is a safe adhesive remover to use to get the old adhesive off without damaging the clearcoat? Thanks for the help!

that auto body 3M double sided tape is designed just for that and very good
Hair dryer and Goo Gone to remove the adhesive.

Thanks for the help. Hair dryer, goo gone and new 3M tape. Keypad is straight and fixed and no paint blemishes. Might just be me but the 3M tape seems to hold better than the original tape Ford used on the keypad originally.

yeah that 3M is some good sh&t and probably overkill for a keypad, but hey, can't be too safe, right?

glad it worked out!
