Gassin it and sittin stil!!
I've got one for ya'll.. On occassion.. I'm behind grandma.. and I move over and nail it to.... just sittin there.... not going any faster.. Then all of a sudden she wakes up and creates all sorts of noise lol.. When she decided to go to work you can feel the hit in the transmission like theres slop in the drive train and she starts running like a mad ape.
What I have is a
2010 f-150 xlt
5.4l 3v
4x4
This has happened 3-4 times since I've bought her in November.
Also under hard acceleration she lunges..

sounds like a computer controlled kickdown module on the transmission. 40 years ago this was done with a rod that went from the carb to the trans and manually down shifted the trans. today's trucks and cars use a computer solenoid (ECM) that is activated when you mash the pedal to the floor electronically. you'll probably need a shop to ID the point of the failure.
