Yea, that is what I'm going to do but I don't have garage big enough to do it right now and its not exactly warm here in Colorado right now so I may have to wait till summer or go and do it at my brother in-laws garage. Im thinking maybe the sock on pump is dirty too and when driving regular its allowing enough gas thru but when I push it not enough gas is getting thru to motor until after it evens out and the demand slows down alittle.

Problem solved. Son in law came over and drove the truck and suggested I go to Grease Monkey and have them clean the injectors using a high solvent flush. After they did that I took truck out for 60 mile drive and truck runs so smooth now. It even sits at stop signs and lights and tack needle just sits there on 750RPM and purrs. It only cost 60.00 for high pressure flush and it is well worth it. They also told me to run higher premium gas instead of regular in truck to keep injectors and plugs cleaner. So if anyone has time and money and you drive an older truck, get the flush and you will notice the difference if your truck has been running a little rough. TY for all your feedback guys. Im also going to use seafoam in about every other tank also.

that solves the running bad issue for now.. but once it sucks up more of the bad gas it will clog them up again.. and the higher oct. gas statemant.. BS. glad it runs better..

I still plan on putting in seafoam to help keep stuff clean and I still plan on dropping the tank and flushing it out but I can't right now cause my wife has to go for radiation appts for the next four weeks cause of breast cancer and I had to make sure the truck was up and running by Friday for a 50 mile round trip each day. Im sure things will stay good long enough for that and checking the fuel filter once week to see how bad the fuel is. My priority right now is my wife and truck is only vehicle we have other than a motorcycle and a 93 Festiva which im working on. And as far as gas, I was getting my gas at a station that is probably older than I am and I was told to run some higher premium gas in it and get my gas from a better station till I get a chance to flush tank out.

Higher octane will do nothing. Just make sure your tank is clean, pump screen is clean, fuel filter is clean and run good 87 gas and rock on!

Well, its been awhile since I last posted but wanted to let you know what has happened. After we had ejecters blown out and replaced the purge valve the truck ran good for day. Then it started chugging again so I broke down and took it to ford and they put it on machine and found that one of coils was intermittently failing. So they replaced coil and plug and it ran good for day and then started chugging again. Took it back to ford and another coil went bad and I just happened to have new one I had bought to replace one I broke the little part on it that you use to bolt it to intake manifold and had a thick piece of rubber jammed in between fuel rail and coil holding it in place so ford was nice enough to use my coil and plug to replace bad one which just happened to be one I had jammed in place. Truck has been running great now for week. I ordered new coils and am going to replace all but two ford replaced. Don't want to mess with it now until wife is done with her radiation treatments cause I don't want to break something else too. So for now, lets hope rest of coils hold up. I am also letting gas tank get down to 1/4 tank and then may drop it and clean it out and put on new fuel filter too. Never ending but I love my truck and will keep fixing it when it goes down. Still cheaper than new truck and truck payments.
