2020 f150 weird sound/vibration front end
Has anyone had or heard of this? It doesn't happen often, but when it does it's loud. It sounds like it's mainly from passenger side, and it's a cross between thin metal vibrating in the wind or maybe metal on metal grinding? I have tried to record the sound with the phone but everytime I turn the video on it stops or gets alot quieter. I have never heard anything like it from past f150's I've had. We even put it on the lift in the garage and found nothing that would cause it so I am very confused. When it happens on the highway I can't have the windows open because it's an insanly loud ear piercing sound. Was hoping someone here has an idea of what to check or even if they have had this problem how they fixed it. If I can get it recorded I'll post a little clip of it if I can. Thanks for any help.

Try throwing it in 4H/4A when it happens, then let us know what happens.
Truck specs would help us help you.

That video is the exact sound it makes. You guys are awesome, thank you. Now I know where to start looking. But it is a 2020 f150 with the v-6 twin turbo eco boost 3.5ltr with about 50k miles. I will let you know how it goes. Hopefully it's just a vacuum line.

I'd take a look at the checkvalve first thing, cheap, and a culprit many times. There have been guys that found dirt in some of the fittings as well.
Is your truck a Lariat or above with 4A?
Here's a TSB on how Ford recommends checking out the vac system in case replacing the valve doesn't fix it.

It's the XLT, but I had to drive from CT--NJ for a job 150 mile trip. So I was on the side roads before I left I turned 4wd on high then low and then off. I did that about 5 times then got on the highway and no noise at all the entire trip. I now it's just coincidence or dumb luck and it didn't fix anything, but I will take it as a mini win until I can get it back to the shop to try and fix it properly. Thanks for all your help guys.
