Default Fans behind radiator do not move 2013(new)

I had the engine running and in park while checking the oil. I noticed that the 2 fans behind the radiator were not moving. I then had someone put the brake on and put it in drive and rev the engain-still no movement. Why is this? Is the normal? Truck had been driven for 2-3 HR- Tep gauge looked normal.

Truck is new 2013

Thanks

Default O

Ok I guess I'm the idiot in the room. I'm not a car person- looks like they are for AC-right. When I kick the AC on they spin up.

Default

The fans will come on when as you found out, the a/c is commanded on or when the engine temp sensor indicates engine temp rising.

It's all computer controlled.
