Factory Service Manual

Factory Service Manual
I hope this hasn't been asked 1000 times already. Can a mere mortal purchase a factory service manual for a 2008 F-150? Do I even want one? Are there good service manuals out there that will suffice? I didn't have good luck with Haynes or Chilton's on my Jeep.
Thanks.

you can purchase the ones through Ford, but they are pretty expensive. Are they helpful... yeah, for sure, 9 out of 10 times they will be. Are they worth it though, I don't really think so.

It depends on what you want to get by buying it. I don't have one because any vehicle basically has a lot in common with any other vehicle. Some things might vary but generally they're all built the same way.

Hi Ham, havn't seen you around lately, glad you're still here. Service manuals are available on line through www.helminc.com. These are the Ford publications that the techs use. Believe they can be purchased on line for different periods of time.

Factory Service Manual
Check out my ebay store, Motorsports Specialists. I have many Ford Workshop manuals from the early 90s to 2008. I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to buy all of the Workshop Manuals from a dealership which closed.
Many are listed here, but I have many more. You will find the 2004 F150 Heritage Edition books currently listed.
Let me know what you need.

I've had fairly good luck with www.alldataDIY.com for my '97. It's not as all-inclusive as an OEM manual, but the cost is much more reasonable.
