F150 Oil change - filter size?
I own a '05 F150 w/4.6 engine with 15,200 miles on it
I'm starting to do my own oil changes again
Im going to install a K&N oil filter - but seems there are 2 that "fit"
HP-2009 3/4" thread & HP-2010 w/22mm thread
I'm going to read thru the manual, hopefully this will tell me which one?
I'm getting about 15-18mpg, hoping to find some changes to bring the mpg up some
Thanks

Picked up the filter & a filter wrench (3/8" drive model)
Worked great
After I was rolling around under the truck I noticed the parts of the dead mouse my cat had killed. He always likes to drag them under the truck to tear apart

I'm not sure where the specs came up with 6 qts
It took 7 to fully fill mine
I let it drip for about an hour before refilling
Started the motor after 5.7 qts, checked, add the rest
Checked, still low - then added 1/2 of the 7th, checked - added the rest
Good for another 5,000 miles
