I'm wanting to put a 4.9 out of a 1994 f 150 in a 1990 f 150 that has a bad 5.0.any ideas on the wiring and fuel system.I have the complete 1994 truck

You will have fuel control issues at the very least because the computer for the 5.0 will be different than the 4.9. I'm not sure you can just switch them. There may be some sensor reading issues as well so I would expect the CEL to come on and give you a lot of codes. You may have to swap the engine harness to configure the plugs for the injectors and coil packs etc. Vacuum hose will also be different.

Thanks,Yeah I figured out that there are a lot of differences,including the wiring harness,so I decided to back with the 5.0.Thanks for the info.
