Hey everyone my truck makes a rattle noise at start up the dealership replaced the timing chain and tensioner already and now they are saying the truck is suppose to make this noise???? any thoughts. I have read other issues on this site about this Vacuum pump, timing, etc....

Common sense should tell you that a truck should not make a noise like that at start up. Geez, some dealerships service departments, I mean damn, almost borders on disrespect to treat a customer that way. The old, they all sound like **** fall back, LOL.

Sounds like a few seconds of dry lifters before oil pressure is developed. Hard to tell with such a short duration of noise.

I had the same thing. Just changed oil on truck and haven't noticed it since. I am guessing you are starting it using your remote start as that is the only time I have heard it.

I have a 2013 ecoboost.
