Long story short, 05 2wd F150 with 1st gear slipping. It seems to catch around 25-30 mph. Coming home i got my O/D light flashing with a "transmission malfunction" on the dashboad computer. When i got that light, no matter how high i revved it (which wasn't often), i wouldn't go anywhere until i hit 30 mph. 10 mins later i got a "Engine safemode" on the dashboard computer. and i pretty much limped it home. The truck drives no problem after 30 mph but with 1st gear inop, merging into traffic was a b**** to say the least. If it helps, there is no noise coming from the truck, no grinding, jumping, anything. Need help guys.
BTW, what does Engine safemode mean?
