Ford 5.4L Tune-up
I have some fast questions about basic maint. of my truck, when i step out i can smell a heavy odor of gasoline and i know that means its running rich and i know with that most likely i need to do a tune-up on it but would the O2 Sensors also need to be changed out because i has been an on going problem? Where is the best places to pick up the parts i need? Does anyone know whats wrong?

The smell of gas doesn't necessarily mean that it's running rich. Did you spill gas anywhere?? You may have a leak. Look under the truck and see if there are any liquids dripping. I had a Turbo'd Grand Prix and it was running rich before I tuned it and I never smelt gas.

smelling RAW gas probably doesn't have much to do with your engine's tune, sounds more like a leak somewhere. The fuel filter is on the driver's side framerail pretty close to your seat, so start there if that's where you smell it the worst. Could be a fuel rail, injector, fuel line, etc. There's many things it could be leaking from. Definetly need to find it. A friend of mine decided to go 'wheeling with us one day knowing that he had a leaking fuel rail. Fortunately for him, i carry a fire extinguisher because the leak found its way onto the exhaust manifold and POOF!!!!
