I know there is probably tons of threads involving oil but i cant seem to find one for my question.

i got my truck last year its a 4.6L fx2 2010 and changed the oil 3 times using royal purple 5w20 adnit ran beautiful all the time. i changed it today to Mobil 1 5w20 and i find there is a slight ticking sound on my engine. not sure if it will go away or if i should stick with royal.

i switched ebcause i like to do frequent oil changes, and the royal i heard is not worth the money. i dont know if i should go back royal teh next time around or stick with mobil since its so cheap on sale. i just want to keep it synthetic is all

Throw in a bottle of Lucas Additive

The Lucas is too thick to use in these overhead cam engines, especially if it has cam phasers, IMO it's hard to beat the Motorcraft syn-blend oil.
