Default Engine Sputter/ Mis fire 2001 F150

I have 2001 F150 Supercrew with 5.4L V8 I have had no issue with this truck what so ever.... untill about week ago It started like what seems like a mis fire/sputter or little jerk but it does it randomly.... Usually after sitting for a day start it up and start driving it usually within about 15 miles and usually around 30 - 50mpg will get what seems like a mis fire or sputter... maybe happens 2 times in a row then stop then may go the rest of the drive just fine... I know its not the transimission as it doesn't occurr around any shifting etc... As i can be cruising down road at say 50 and then it will just randomly do it.

I dunno if its a mis fire issue, injector, fuel .... I dunno

It has 72000 I have done no maintence EXCEPT oil changes and replaced the fuel filter.... Maybe its time for tuneup and change of spark plugs... think it would help?

Any suggestions???

I agree on the coil pack. Pull the rear coil packs and look for water in the spark plug wells.
