Default Emmission Controls System light just went on

I just bought a used 2004 F150. The guy I bought it from said he changed some sensors because the emmission controls sytem light was on. When I bought it the light was off, not it just turned on.

I also just had fluids changed - coolant, transmission, oil, and differential.

What is causing this, what to do next? Thanks,

OK I went to Autozone, the test showed that the Crank Sensor may be Defective. Need to check connector and wiring to sensor or the trigger for wheel damage whatever all that means. Does this sound right, tough to do?
