You have a connection fault at the battery, probably a ground fault, caused by the battery cables. Direct current (DC) can be a royal pain because it does not get past corrosion very well not like Alternating current (AC). inspect and trace all of the heavy cables to their attachments. If the cables look at all corroded, and they can't be cleaned replace them. This is one of the things you will run into with older vehicles with their DC electrical systems. It would pay to educate yourself in basic electrical theory. This site (http://www.chelationtherapyonline.com/technical/p43.htm ) has a good tutorial on the subject.

well i did a little inspection this morngin and what i found was that the ground is good i even reconnected it to a different part of the truck this mornign and i also found that the alternator belt was extremly loose (i replaced it a few minutes ago)
and the positive is frayed.i found some loose wire but there all connected.
