Default Electric Problem.. Help!

2006 F-150 SC

So my wife pulls into the driveway and shuts the car off. She immediately turns it back on to pull it into the garage and.... nothing.

Very weird electrical issue:

Makes a horrendous clicking sound from underneath the steering wheel, under the passenger side dash and behind the rear seat (underneath)?????

Nothing electrical works. No horn. No lights. No windows. No radio. Engine won't turn.

With or without the key in the ignition the clicking is as follows:

1. With the headlight control to the far right (lights on) it buzzes (doesn't click) ONLY on the passenger side (relay 3).

2. With the headlight control on Parking , no noise whatsoever.

3. With headlight control turned to OFF or AUTO there is a LOUD clicking sound coming from under the drivers side dash, passenger side dash, (relay 3), and from the rear (behind and under the rear seat).

Note: Stepping on the brake or pressing the horn makes the clicking stop under the driver's side dash and leaves only clicking on the passenger side (relay 3).

** I moved relays from other spots to relay 3 and still get the same result **

External Lights:

When on "Parking Lights" external amber front amber lamps and top rear red lamps are fairly bright.

When on any other setting, same lamps are VERY dim.

Headlights don't come on at all.

The ONLY light that seems to be behaving normally is the red "security" light.

HELP IF YOU CAN!

THANKS IN ADVANCE!

Check the battery connections. Remove them, clean them and put them back on.

Bummer. It's sounding like a bad ground, but good luck finding it. Maybe the other end of the battery ground cable.

Have you tried to jump start? Please use a good set of cables. Was there any corrosion at the battery terminals? Am thinking battery. Wishing you had a load tester.

Agree with battery diagnosis. Without the ignition on, the alternator is not involved at all. Every time, I have a battery issue, I start with contact cleaner and a wire brush. Clean everything electrical that you can and then start with the multi-meter. My suggestion would be to pick up a haynes manual or go to their web site and look up the troubleshooting procedures for the ignition.
