565 - Canister Purge Solenoid Circuit Fault

I bought a code reader and it arrived today. The only code I retrieved was the one above. I started having problems with my truck dying and restarting later (3 times in as many weeks).

So would the above problem cause my truck to stall out only to start hours later? I did a google search and it seems the only problem this fault has caused other people is poor gas mileage.

Where is this thing should I replace it? My Haynes manual doesn't cover it.

So today my truck doesn't want to start. Great, this is what I bought the code tester for.

I Still have the 565 code. Now I also have the 114 and 116 faults to add to the list.

Air Charge Temperature Sensor Higher or Lower Than Expected Voltage
116
Engine Coolant Temperature Higher or Lower Than Expected


I replaced the ACT and I still can't start the truck. I cleared the codes and I'm still getting these same faults. The ECT is another $25 that I don't want to spend if it's not going to get me up and running.

The ACT really needed to be replaced even though it didn't fix the problem.

My question is; Could the Ignition Control Module be responsible for these faults? I would bet that if I tested for spark, I wouldn't get anything. If there isn't any spark and the tester didn't say the coil was bad then it's a no-brainer..... right?

Wasted $50 bucks on an ICM. When that didn't work I pulled the coil and it was cracked. Not bad.... Just flushed $50+tax down the toilet for a part I didn't really need for a $5 part I got used at the junk yard.

I have alway considered such things as building up your spare parts stash
and the other side of this is as long as you has the part in your stash it will
never fail on the truck
