Is the battery and changing system OK? Low or bad batteries can cause many things to act strange... Could try unhooking the ABS module to see if the battery will hold a charge. Unhook negative battery terminal for 10 minutes might help

Anti-lock brake systems prevent brakes from locking up by overriding the brake pedal and pumping the brakes to stop a skid. As RnlComp said, disconnect the unit (electrically) and drive it until you can afford a new one. A wrecking yard is always an option to find a used one. Saw one on Ebay for $375.http://www.ebay.com/bhp/f150-abs-module

Ok.......been driving the truck (what little I do) with the unit unplugged. no problems with battery holding a charge. I guess I will save the money and buy another unit. I appreciate all the help.
