Question Ring gear size 2000 F150 v6 manual

While replacing my ABS speed sensor today, I noticed the passenger side rear wheel seal is leaking oil.

When I look for a replacement, I see I have two choices, one for 9.75" rear and one for an 8.8" rear.

The metal tag on the diff. cover is stamped:

S862F
3 55 88 0A07

Is it safe to assume it is 3.55 ratio and 8.8" ring gear size?

I went with the seal for the 8.8" ring gear housing and it fit.
