Cylinder 4 Misfire Code
I have a 2008 Ford f150 v8 5.4L. I have been getting the code cylinder 4 Misfire. So I put in a new coil on plug in cylinder 4. I drove again got the same message cylinder 4 misfire. So I put in a new spark plug. Drove it again and same message cylinder 4 misfire. Then we switched the 1 and 4 fuel injector to help diagnose the problem and again got the message cylinder 4 misfire. What do I do now?

I found the problem with mine. I had checked the mode six and noticed that all of my misfiring was occurring on the same bank, Cyl 5,6,7&8. Even though number 5 was the only one indicating.
So I took it to ford thinking it was the cam phaser. They agreed with my hypothesis and hooked it to their machine. They called me a while later to inform me that the timing system to include the CAM phaser was fine. They pulled my o2 sensor and found that the exhaust pressure was 15 and they said it shouldn't have been above 3. So off to the exhaust shop I went. My catalytic converter was completely sealed off. No air passing whatsoever. I guess if the Cat is bad enough it can cause some serious misfire issues.

you have to rebuild the engine or do a AFM delete kit. After doing that, then get someone to reprogram the computer to not switch from 8 cylinder to 4 cylinder. I'm sure your truck was doing that. So no matter what you do. Changing oils, plugs wires. Nothing will work until you do that. You have to take your heads out also and get them shaved. Basically a partial rebuild. When you take to springs and rods out. You will see what I'm talking about on whatever cylinder was reporting
